Biography
Dr. Monika Heisig Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Medical University of Wrocław (Poland). Completed her fifth year of studies at the University of Padua, Italy, as part of the Erasmus program. She completed his specialization training in dermatology and venereology at the Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Allergology of the Medical University of Wrocław. She also gained professional experience in renowned private dermatology and aesthetic medicine centers.
Graduated from doctoral studies at the Faculty of Medicine of Postgraduate Education, completed in 2016 with the defense with distinction of the doctoral thesis "Clinical and genetic aspects of uremic pruritus". In 2017, she obtained the title of specialist in the field of dermatology and venereology, passing the state examination of specialization with distinction.
In the years 2011-2016 she taught with medical and dental students in Polish and English. In the years 2013-2018 worked as a lecturer and then assistant in the field of cosmetology at the University of Physiotherapy in Wrocław. Promoter of several dozen bachelor's and master's theses in the field of cosmetology.
Author of more than twenty publications in recognized national and international medical journals, co-author of the book "Dermatoses of Pregnancy". She has made numerous appearances in local and international congresses. Invited reviewer of "Dermatology", "Acta Dermato-Venerologica" and "Dermatologic Therapy". Online Expert for La Roche Posay Poland in 2016-2017. Cooperates with Sensoria Foundation as part of a Polish national melanoma information and education campaign.
